1. Magnolia Trees
Last weekend my friends and I went driving around the Northern NSW Hinterland looking for an ideal spot for a picnic. Amongst all of the beautiful and lush, yes lush from all the rain we have had recently, green scenery were scattered magnolia trees in full bloom, in people's front yards, in the middle of round-a-bouts and randomly along the road. Here and there they were, a spectacular sight to see in all of their grey limbs and hot pink flowered glory. My only regret is that I didn't stop to take a photo. Later in the week as I was mindlessly scrolling through my Facebook feed I spotted a magnolia tree and stopped at an instant. I clicked through and was led me to find this amazing home garden at Mt Tambourine. It has kept my love well and truly burning for these beautiful trees.
2. Beige Lipstick
With black eyeliner and sixties hair.
3. Donna Hay's Fresh & Light cookbook
Probably my favourite cookbook. The recipes are exactly as they are promised: fresh and light as well as healthy, tasty and easy to make.
4. Gossip Girl
I know I have said it before, how much I love Gossip Girl, but after spending two whole days on the couch, due to illness of course, watching season three I am well lost in the GG world once again.
5. New York City
As previously mentioned above I have been nursed back to good health with the help of Gossip Girl, all whilst dreaming of running away to New York City. One day I hope to experience the electricity of the city, ride in a yellow cab, walk through Central Park and sit on the steps of the MET and watch the world go by.
