Frenchy adventure.

Coat: Vintage
T-shirt: ASOS
Jeans: Country Road
Bag: Op Shop
Shoes: Therapy

Lets be real: life isn't about how good the clothes you wear are but the adventures you have in them; planning what you are going to wear is just part of the fun! And that's all I could think about all week for our weekend adventure to Brisbane for France's Bastille Day. To celebrate Bastille Day the Brisbane French community put on a French Festival in South Bank. Full of authentic French speaking people *swoon*, classic French cuisine and the sultry sounds of jazz music playing in the background it is fair to say I was one very happy girl. Before heading down to the festival we took some snaps in the Gallery of Modern Art. If you are ever in Brisbane be sure to check it out, there is always something interesting and quirky to see. I think this is enough from me. The pictures can do the rest of the talking...

To the hills.

Dress: Tigerlily

After spending the weekend hanging in Noosa we thought we would take a little detour through the Sunshine Coast Hinterland on the way home to see what we would find. Small towns off the beaten track always seem to have some hidden gems; you just need to go looking. This time we found an antique store in an old house, an organic health food shop packed to the brim with everything you could ask for without a big price tag and a yummy vegan cafe. Sometimes the detours are worth the extra effort in order to discover something new and exciting.

Floral sunset.

Blazer and pants: ASOS
Top: Amor.Lux from ASOS. Similar one here
Shoes: ASOS LUCY Patent Ballet Flats
(Please note: I have an ASOS addiction!)

This post looks like it's from some exotic beach in Bali. Though, not to be mistaken, it is actually the equally exotic Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. And the Sunshine Coast it was after what feels like months of rainfall for nearly everyone in the south east. After finishing up at happy hour at Bistro C on the beach we took a walk around the headland to soak up the sun's final rays for the day and the spectacular view they were cast upon. It was also the perfect opportunity to get a few snaps of my one and only floral suit. I have always had a weakness for floral prints. This is no exaggeration: at least 70 percent of the clothes hanging in my wardrobe bear flowers which was pointed out to me not so long ago to my shock and horror. Embracing this unintended 'theme' of mine, I could not keep my eyes off this floral suit and had to have it. It is super handy for days when I don't know what to wear to work or need something that will transition easily from day to night. It will forever be a statement set that will hang loudly and proudly among all the other floral in my closet.

The hero.

Sunglasses: David Jones
Top: Amor.Lux from ASOS (sold out but you can find a similar one at Sportsgirl here)
Jeans: Tigerlily

I guess it could be said, for the majority, that the weekend is the most looked forward to part of the week. Sleeping in, relaxing, getting out and about and just doing whatever it is you have most wanted to do whilst you were working during the week. Usually the last thing I want to think or stress about on the weekend is what I am going to wear. Nothing is worse then pulling out your whole closet and making the heart breaking discovery that you have nothing nice/fashionable/appropriate/comfortable to wear. Yes, there is certain criteria that weekend get-ups must meet. And then you start to fret. As you can maybe already tell I have been through this experience a few too many times. Though I am proud to report: I have found the solution! I found this bad boy Breton stripe top on ASOS by a brand called Amor.Lux and it has been the hero of my closet since it arrived at my doorstep. I can safely say since purchasing said 'hero' my "moments" and "fretting" has decreased and my confidence in my wardrobe has slightly increased. I guess they don't call the Breton stripe a classic for nothing!
