Loving: Bunting

I think I'm a bit late to the party with this bunting trend... but better late than never, right? I saw a picture of some pretty bunting on Pinterest earlier in the week and haven't been able to get it out of my mind since. There is something so fun and free about it; it reminds me of festivals and all the sweet things that accompany them like adventures, balmy early evenings, fairy floss, coloured ride tickets and rollercoaster romance. I'm now on the hunt for the perfect pattern and colour combinations for my room!

Pistachio.

Dress: Witchery
Shoes: ASOS (similar)
Clutch: Sportsgirl (similar)
Watch: Michael Kors

If I had to thank my pale skin for something it would be for allowing me to wear this beautiful creamy pistachio colour! When I buy clothes the poor things have usually been sitting in a 'saved items' basket or 'wishlist' for months. But not this dress. It was an impulse, spur of the moment buy that I won't be regretting any time soon. It's just the modest length I like so it can be dressed up with heels for dinner and drinks or worn with sandals to work on a hot summers day. The colour of it is just so happy that it would be impossible to have a bad day wearing it!

Sapphire.

Top: ASOS
Skirt: Keepsake the Label (similar)
Shoes: Wittner
Sunglasses: LeSpecs
Watch: Michael Kors

I was on the hunt for an edgy yet office appropriate top to match my black asymmetric skirt for a work experience week at my favourite fashion magazine in Sydney. My first point of search nearly always starts, and usually ends with, ASOS. Never one to disappoint me I knew there must be something on there that would fit the bill of what I was looking for. This top immediately caught my eye with it's leather look sleeves, beading and ornate embroidered front. It was just the right length to match my skirt and I was very happy with the result. Just teamed it with simple accessories and black shades for lunch in Hyde Park.

Houndstooth.

Jacket: Zara (similar)
Top: Cotton On
Pants: Zara (similar)
Shoes: Wittner
Watch: Michael Kors

I took advantage of the Easter long weekend by heading to my Nana's farm to relax, read and get some outfit photos for the blog! I have been wanting to photograph these outfits for a couple of months now but sometimes, most of the time, life has other plans and things get pushed down the list of priorities. I bought the Zara pants in Japan, it was the only shop that sold clothes that I could fit in to! I'm looking forward to wearing this combination more frequently now the weather has cooled down and autumn is starting to filter in.

Nana lives next door to people who own and race horses. I coaxed this one into coming over for a pat with some grass and imitation neighing. For the most part it worked and he hung around... until I jumped up to sit on the fence and scared him off down the other end of the paddock!

Jump.

Jumpsuit: Zara
Shoes: Wittner
Watch: Michael Kors
Lipstick: Chi Chi

Fact: when ever I go to a Zara I buy something. This is my latest Zara purchase from a recent trip to Sydney. The faux-leather panel and sheer top make the suit way more playful and a little bit sexy... but just the right amount to get away with during the day. To add a pop of colour and not over complicate the textures I used my favourite purple matte lipstick. No boring all black outfits to see here!
